I've worked in the charity sector for the past 15+ years and I'm passionate about the difference charities make to their local communities. I'm also a dedicated mother of two and love spending time with my family.

I know that times are challenging right now for many of us. We're dealing with the impact Covid on our younger generation (and indeed all of us) while facing the ongoing cost of living crisis.  Sometime it's difficult to see the joy in the world.

For this reason, I've decided to create a little blog bringing my two passions together. I'll be celebrating the wonderful charities making a difference to those in need as well shining a spotlight on the different family friendly events and places to visit that don't cost the earth. And where better to start than in my own country, the one and only Yorkshire!
